A vitally important research paper that should be required reading for all Americans interested in seeing America be a leader - and generate jobs - in clean technology. This report provides the first comprehensive comparison of public investments by the United States and key Asian competitors in core clean energy technologies, including solar, wind, and nuclear power, carbon capture and storage, advanced vehicles and batteries, and high-speed rail. Key findings are that America is being out invested, out-flanked on the policy front and is truly on the verge of losing any hope of becoming a key economic player in the green collar economy.

This paper outlines a sensible business approach to analyzing and adapting to the physical risks of climate change. It focuses on a critical first step in assessing these climate impacts:understanding the potential risks to business and the importance of taking action to mitigate those risks.  It should be noted that this paper does not take into consideration the increased cost of carbon which would be a result of any new cap and trade or carbon tax legislation currently under consideration in Congress.
